Since 1950, Crawford Eye Associates has continuously strived to stand out as the best in our field, with your ocular health being our most important consideration. Our quality team of attentive professionals have acquired years of wisdom diagnosing and treating eye conditions of all types. Our history

1950

Dr. William E. Wardian opened an optometry practice in Meadville in 1950

1985

Dr. Michael Walker moved back to his hometown and took over the practice

2009

Crawford Eye Associates was formed

2013

Dr. Sara (who was a student at the time) began an internship at Crawford Eye

2014

Dr. Sara joined the practice after graduating from optometry school

2018

Continuing to work alongside Dr. Walker, Dr. Sara took over the practice

Sara M. Goss, OD

Optometrist, Practice Owner

Having the opportunity to serve the community by providing eye care at Crawford Eye is what matters most to Dr. Sara - the doctor/patient relationship is very important to her! While she’s passionate about ocular health, when not at work, you will find Dr. Sara spending time with her husband and two young children, family, and friends. She is a self-proclaimed “boring mom.”

Michael P. Walker, OD

Staff Optometrist

Being able to help people with their visual and medical problems related to the visual system is by far Dr. Walker’s favorite part of working at Crawford Eye Associates! When he’s not at work, you can find Dr. Walker enjoying the arts through his hobbies of photography and playing in local bands.

Wendy Hildebran

Office Manager

As the Office Manager, Wendy wears many hats. But, no matter the hat she has on, one thing remains constant: her favorite part about working at Crawford Eye Associates is the high level of care and dedication provided to our patients. In her free time, Wendy enjoys spending time at the beach in the sun, boating with friends and family, and playing cards.

Shannan Wheeling

Optician (ABO Certified)

The part of her job that Shannan looks forward to the most is when she’s able to interact with patients. Not only does she love spending time with friends and family when she’s not working, but she also enjoys traveling, gun raffles, watching TV, and playing on her iPad.

Sherry L. McGrath

Clinical Technician

Sherry’s favorite part about working at Crawford Eye Associates is having the ability to work directly with patients. Outside of work, you can find Sherry at home with her lab, Zoie, or spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoys walking, hosting, and decorating.

Jessica Ann (Jess) McAfoose

Front Desk Receptionist

Helping patients, while also learning about ocular health, is what makes working at Crawford Eye so rewarding for Jess. When not in the office, she loves spending time outside (as long as the weather is nice!) Some of Jess’s interests include gardening, cooking, baking, hiking, biking, photography, videography, fashion, and interior design.
